Cloned pet is not pet

I'm horrified that Bernann McKinney thinks she's got her dead friend (a dog called Booger) back just because she's managed to get him cloned. According to The Guardian, she now has five puppies cloned from Booger's ear tissue and describes them as "Perfectly the same as their daddy." My issue here is not with the cloning, although that leave me uneasy, but from the fact that the woman seems to think a dog with the same DNA as Booger will be exactly like Booger, which seems unlikely as Booger was a stray before she took him in and not the treasured possession of a self-indulgent loon.

The Korea Times delivers the most alarming headline "1st Cloned Pet Owner" - Heaven forbid.
