Posh Fish Fingers

Does giving something a fancy sounding name make it more appetising? Are we that stuck up in Oxford that we won't eat a fish finger sandwich unless it's called a Tempura Hake Fillet on a Soft Floured Bun Served with Tartare Sauce and Salad?
