There is a desperate need for more donors. Last year more than 400 people died in the UK while waiting for a transplant."

Donating organs in the event of your death is a very personal decision, but make sure you're not one of those whose do want to donate but whose organs go to waste because they don't communicate their preference.

If, in the unfortunate event that you die, you would be happy to donate your organs so that others can live:

1. Sign the NHS Organ Donor register

2. Inform your nearest and dearest

3. Post a donor card on your blog to raise awareness
