Alice in Cyberland

Alice in CyberlandIt's not often that your favourite director decides to make a movie based on a book set 73 seconds from your front door, yet rumour has it that Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland will be filmed in Plymouth.

Apparently Disney has announced that they are to shoot scenes from a Victorian blockbuster in Plymouth, and people are speculating that it is to be the Lewis Caroll classic.

However, seething with jealousy, I wondered if there might be a role as an extra for my sister who currently resides in Plymouth, but then I read that casting director, Ilenka Jelowicki said "In an ideal world, out of the 125 women we need, they would all have long, naturally coloured hair," and I felt less optimistic about her chances.
